CONFLICTION

I remain indifferent staring outside my window
The storm rages along with rain pouring, drowning
I gawk in confusion
The brash and callous storm to which I so detest

The lightning that wrecks
 the roof manifests with each strike
The booming thunder with its lionous roar
The thunderous barrage of the storm leaves me petrified

Amid the thunderous act, the gentle breeze of the rain-
I could almost smell it
The pitter-patter as it taps the floor wafts to my nose
The earthy aroma of the rain leaves me hankering

Yet what am I to do when both happen?
The raging storm with drops placating it
Much like a coin, with good -old head and tails
The cataclysmic storm

And the tranquil rain could not be separated
I know which part I want yet
I remain indifferent staring outside my window in euphoric misery
