Blue Bird
I'm going to drown in the sea.
A blue bird swooped down on me.
Please come, Apothecary.
Give me the prozac to relieve my pain.
I'm gradually getting into it.
My pride isn't here, and my ego has vanished.
Lord, comfort my affliction.
I've realised that I'm a novice preserve man.
Forgery Bouquets elevated me.
I now slip down when they move away.
Finally, I accept Lord Alexander's message.
Don't try to rouse me.
I'm tired of phoney sympathy.
This haunting manner is sufficient for me.
I'm now submerged beneath the waves.
The blue bird has vanished from above

About this poem
The poem is about a man nearing the end of his life. All of the phoney compliments and sympathy he has received in his life will not save him from death. The poet discusses Lord Alexander's message in order to demonstrate the same thing. The last words of Lord Alexander were: "When I die, keep my hands open towards the sky, and all the gold and silver I earned in my life time, just let it fall to show that when a man dies, he cannot take anything with him, all material things are just illusions. " We are born without clothes and gold, and we will perish without them. more »
