Affair of the heart

Aarya Dubey 2003 (Kanpur)

To the one who stole my heart,
With flirtatious smile & looks so smart.
Those dimples tucked inside his face,
Oh my eyes! They can't but gaze.

While surreptitiously glancing at his stellar stills,
I wonder, "What pleasure to me it brings?"
On hearing his name, why my cheeks go red,
Why his thoughts keep striking my head?"

I was just ten when his second show was relayed,
Jeepers! What a terribly dashing character, he portrayed!
Since then, my gallery is replete with his pictures,
In sophisticated black, with shiny tincture.

From crazily stalking him on social media sites,
To one-sided convos, and cute reddening smiles.
He- Yes! he has become my favourite man,
Whom I oft see in my dreams, delicately holding my hand.

He has become a song, I love listening to,
The lyrics of which, soothes me, when I feel blue.
In the starry night, under the blanket of sky,
I scribble his and my name so that I could rhyme.

The prince charming of my fairy tales, perhaps I have found,
So what if our love story doesn't have any ground?
Hope some beautiful day, our paths cross---we meet,
And I get a chance to confess, "Yes, you're the one and I love thee!"

Your illicit lover.
