"It's Just Time" (Little Mo Knows)

IT'S JUST TIME    (by "mojoloni")

"Just bide your time, a little some"
Gram always said...
"Just bide your time, my little Mo,
'Cause somethings always comes..."

"But what is 'somethings'?"
Mo begged her say...
"Most say it's nothing,
When things come my way.
And Momma says, 'It's of no matter...
Now run outside and play".

And Gram would say...
"It's only Time....
Time that wants to stay".

"But where's it go?"
Says little Mo.
And where's it always come from?"

And Gram would say this silly thing....like,
Somethings somehow goes to somewhere...
And somethings come from somewhere now.
It holds you tight, then lets you go,
Than wanders on its way.
It wants to stay, it really does,
And spite its bane to fade.

But if and when it stops...
Its role's reversed...
And some thing ceases being.
So say 'Hello'...
And say 'Farewell',,,
And know the kiss its given."

About this poem

"Just bide your time". How many times have you discussed a troublesome situation with someone close to you and you have heard them say, "Just bide your time, something good will come"? Unable to get answers from her mother, Mo had turned to her "Gram" about "some things" that fascinated her. Feelings and thoughts and visions that came to her out of nowhere and then just as quickly would be gone. "Gram" explains it to her as "Time" or just life in general Note: Her mother did make a comment of "It's of no matter". If "matter" means substance of a physical nature, than would "no matter" mean of a non-physical nature?

The warm unforgettable down home feel of the poem is excellent. Cadence as well. And gentle patience in the elders. Meanwhile the youngster, living close to nature and simple adventure, wants to ingest it and never let it go. Sorry little one.

This is great. It flows very naturally, and the people of your poem are vivid and real. Much food for thought.
