"A Girl with a broken heart"

Shweta Talekar 2004 (Maharashtra)

Once, with her charms which were full of joy
She dared to show her true self to the world

Once, with her ceaseless and inexhaustible talks,
She thought that the world will agree on it

Once, with her careless attitude, she lived carefreely
Oh well, how she thought that the world is okay with it

Once, with the airy personality that she lived with
She thought that it will gonna work out, her life will gonna work out with everything she was having then

But...,
Until one day,
She found herself in the arms of darkness,
Where her true self was buried under a clump of dread, inordinate anguish and a shivering soul

With that, she just left with a broken heart

About this poem

It's a poem about that how people in our surroundings( referred to here as World) can change someone's true self/personality and make them gloomy, here I justified the same with a girl's character.
