Devoted Fraud

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Today.
And each day,
We awaken to see...
The Sun at dawn rise.
To then witness,
This miracle begin...
In the evening to set.
All of our lives to accept to expect.

Yet...
What would be the meaning of life?
Without living to succeed.
Keeping our minds focused,
On the pursuit of wealth and greed.
Faithfully.
And this done to do...
Pledged to remain,
Devoted at all cost to fraud.

Today.
And each day.
To rush and see,
Where the state of the economy is...
Every hour of each day happens to be.
Instead of the health of humanity.
That everyone knows,
Impressions to make to feed an ego...
Made as if a vow to stay that way.
Until death do us part!

Or...
Something much worse.
Like a finding to discover,
The limits of our credit cards...
Have been maxed out!

'I swear.
I have no idea,
How those purchases were made.
Since I noticed I had lost my credit cards,
Months ago.
When at the casino.
And only now...
Did I discover them missing!'

'What an honest mistake to admit made!'

'I thought it would be too.
I mean...
I didn't know what else to do!'
