Mightnight Drive Down I-35

Midnight drive down I-35 It's more than just a title. It's more than a playlist.
It's more than a poem.
I took a drive up I-35 and met Kansas. We said "goodbye" just as quickly as we'd said "hello."
I took a drive down I-35 and met Texas. It was familiar territory though this time, it was different —it didn't feel like home. I felt like an alien or an overstepping older sister, just checking in after the pandemic to see if my home state was still indeed extant.
So, then I got to thinking about the playlist — the one I started forever ago and had nothing to show for it — what would it sound like? What would that kind of playlist feel like? What would a midnight drive down I-35 feel like?
I had had firsthand experience with that. But I still felt like I couldn't answer. I fell back on my old reliables (and newly-aquired reliables) because it was easy and familiar.
What do you put in a "midnight drive down I-35" playlist?
Can you capture a life's worth of emotions and thoughts in a single playlist? Because, I feel as if that's what I have to show from this trip. I beelined it north to clear my head but things seem more confusing than ever.
