One Thing In Common

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Liars who deceive and dead end roads,
Have one thing in common.
Both are limited to restricted vision.
A vision...
As if remembered,
Imprinted from a blueprint.

And neither one,
Once picked to follow to believe,
A doing of it results in a goal to reach.

Suddenly reality enters the picture.

Awakening a mind closed.
Dosing off into a craving anticipation.
Passing the hearing of the voice in one's head.
Saying...
IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO.
BUT ONLY ONE FOOL,
DANCING ALONE...
CAN MANAGE,
TO STEP ON THEIR OWN TOES!
BY Accepting what had been told to hear.
Having clearly nothing to do,
With one's destination.
Or realize being purposely distanced,
From it being accomplished.
Leaving a glimpse of a wish dimming,
Of having had not listened to someone else...
Describing their experience,
Getting to a place they had never been.
But only to imagine the scenery to sell.
Without facts or evidence yet fictioned well.
Sold and bought to be left stranded.
