Among Unleashed Demons

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

We...
Who remain steadfast believers,
In the power of our Creator God.
Have begun to face,
The ultimate challenge.
These days we live testing our faith.
With prayers to say and hope to stay,
Brave in a battle...
Among and against,
Unleashed demons.
Feeling free to release their hellish deeds.
From the depths nolonger kept,
Those of faith believed...
The Almighty God would keep them,
There to stay permanently.

And yet these deceiving evil demons.
Beasts!
With the ability to disguise and camouflage.
Themselves to appear,
As approachable and smiling loving sheep.
Cloaking venomous razor sharp teeth.
Seductive and teasing,
Their evils as delicious treats.
Were on a mission to destroy,
Those faithful to God...
To poison their minds until defeated.
And all things that represented decency.
Respect, discipline and this to children,
Taught to teach.

And...
Today,
It is being witnessed to observe...
An effective, successful attempt to destroy,
A once great democracy.
Few are left to enjoy.
As division continues,
To infest and separate...
All races of the human race.
With an addicting wish.
By those hoping their wickedness,
Find ways to return back to times...
Prehistorically lived.
When nomads limited in minds.
Found themselves.
And other creatures blinded.
Upon an Earth darkened.
Without Sunshine or capable to identify,
Humanity.
For what it was to have been.
But...
The Almighty God, The Creator...
Does not stop to start over again.
Since for Him, She or It,
Knows that Earth is just a speck of dust.
In this massive and ever growing Universe!

'Uh...
Huh?'

We pray and stay faithful.
And live as Inhabitants on an Earth,
God has created.
Regardless who may enjoy destroying it.
Will not stop The Almighty,
From starting over again.
Since Earth is just a speck of dust,
In a massive Universe.
That continues to grow.
Regardless who it is that believes,
They can rule over and control...
What God, She or It does to do,
No matter who destroys the Earth.
As if their personal toy.

'But...
What about those loyal and faithful?
On the battlefields of life.
Attempting to defend and protect,
God's creation against evil demons.'

That...
I have no idea or opinion to give.
I am a human being.
And grateful not to think of myself,
As an all knowing self anointed...
Unaware and unconscious,
Of my blessing to experience life...
Is temporary and limited.
To know one thing.
I do the best I can to prove and show God,
No attempt do I make to recreate or replace...
That which God has done,
To delude and fiction myself...
As being Charlton Heston.

'Who?'

Charlton Heston.
He had been praised for his performance,
When he portrayed Moses.
In the Ten Commandments.
Nor can I replicate the acting of John Wayne.

'Huh?'

Forget it.
My early hero was Mighty Mouse.
When he appeared on the first TV we had?
I believed this mouse when he said,
'Here I come to save the day.
Mighty Mouse is on his way.'
That mouse never showed up.

'What a rat!'

Tell me about it.
And I waited and waited.
Until I entered junior high school too!
