Falling from Grace

Jodi Daly 1965 (Missouri)

How many times have I fallen from Grace?
Could I win first prize in a falling from Grace Race?
Or am I still falling from the first time I fell?
Have I been falling so long I can no longer tell?
And if I’m still falling where on earth will I land?
In the ocean, the mountains or the deserts hot sands? I’m so tired of falling and falling from Grace.
I’m so afraid I’ll get lost without any trace.
How long will they search for me?How far will they look?
Will they keep on searching for as long as it took?
Well I can’t fall forever! I’m not floating in space.
Have you ever heard of anyone Floating from Grace?
So I’ll hit the ground running then slow down my pace.
There aren’t any winners in this Falling from Grace Race.

About this poem

Sometimes I feel like I’m falling over and over. Or just falling forever and I grow weary and can feel lost and not worthy. But I know in my heart Jesus love’s me and accepts me just as I am.
