Asylum Seeker

Away from the original roots
Seeking protection and shelter elsewhere
Yearning for acceptance on expectations
Leading a low profile as much as one can
United in hope, peace and love
Mediate into the new life in a new land

Sorting the past that's left elsewhere; not in mind
Embracing the echoes of the same past
Even if it is not possible all at one go
Keen to make new connections in the new land
Everyday ever ready with a winding world
Ready to carry on the journey of life until the last breadth

About this poem

Being stateless and away from the original roots can be a daunting experience. All asylum seekers travel seeking a safe haven to enjoy freedom and life without worries.
