An Unfinished Life

My body
Weathered like a vain on an old roof top
Rotting like wormwood
Burrowed deep
Layer upon layer

My cruel invader
Cloaked in mystery
It incubates
Master of disguise it propagates
As I slowly deteriorate

My thoughts
Turnt and twisted
Passive, aggressive
The highs, the lows
Denial acceptance, and so it go's

My heart
It aches, my hands cold
The sun shines bright, the leaves are now gold
I will not see the new buds on the trees
Winter will be the end of me

My story
What will it be?
Self-pity, why is this happening me?
I begin to question everything
I am fading into a memory

My Death
It’s a whisper away
I feel it’s icy breath
What I would give for one more day
The agony of an unfinished life
