Not Easy Is This Mistress Kept Pleased

What it is someone does,
That for many years appears to be easy.
Becomes less difficult to do.
With more time to allow,
Someone like this to confess and admit...
What it is they do done,
Anyone else can do.
If sacrificing to commit,
Being faithful for the rest of their entire life...
To a mistress that demands attention given,
Focused mentally upon them 24/7.
In sickness, health and any attempt made,
Done to abandon all belief...
Freedom to have it,
Is theirs to keep with peace of mind to claim!

When one does something,
That appears to others easy to accomplish.
On a daily basis.
Morning, noon and many sleepless nights.
Seldom is what they do to get it done,
Is replicated to duplicate...
The addiction to first feed the need,
Of a mistress demanding to be satisfied.
Or else regret trying to ignore,
What is being demanded.
To believe there will be rest to get!

'No. No...
You misunderstand me.
I am more interested in what you do.
Not who you do when, where and how.'

I understood.
What I do 24/7 is my mistress.
And many years ago I stopped denying,
It was more to my benefit to give in.
Instead of pretending,
Writing is not as pleasurable as it is!

'WRITING?'

Yeah. Writing.
What did you think I was talking about?
Marriage, divorce and the happiness to have,
That kind of freedom?
No.
Are you kidding?
I didn't realize my mistress and I,
Were meant to be inseparable.
One morning...early.
I awakened and there my mistress was.
Pen and pad.
Awaiting for touch.

'I'm going to respect that.
However...
Only until I get home and laugh.
You say some crazy stuff!'
