Tainted anxious Lady

I called
you are busy
When you called
I answered

Damn my conservative
Ever availability
Your inconsistency
My heartache

We face-time before sleeping
You fall asleep soon after hello

I was crying but you didn't notice
My fake smile sure does the job

I seem worried!
Acting like it was nothing!
Why would you care to fix it?
When it's about you!

You snore
Having that peaceful look
While my heart breaks
Slowly,
On your face after saying goodnight
Yet you kept the hanging up for me

Ofcourse it's late for you
Ever wonder why I stayed up so... late
Barely slept 3 hours tops

I cared too much
On someone
Whose emotionally unavailable

Funny how I gave love a chance
which taught me
That the target was my heart
All along
X marks the spot
Dotted on this naive broken
Tainted anxious lady.

About this poem

A heart that is tired and aches for love to be real for once. Anxious get us nowhere, being free does.
