Slowly I watched you disappear
Watched you burnt-out
Should have kept my side of the bargain
Instead I let it gain
It burns
It hurts
The warmth of my affection
Fierce as fire if not tamed
I should have watched you glow
Should have hid my desire
But my emotions won't let go
Instead it fed on you
I caused your ruin
Oh dearest Gem
You lost your beauty
I lost my fury
As the fire goes off
