Reminders of you seem to be so clear
The love you have once shown, tends to stay near
While I sit here pondering about where you could be,
Such painful things started to make sense to me
I know that you are gone; no longer in pain
My feelings of sadness are difficult to maintain
Although you may be gone, rejoicing far away
Your sweet, tender voice made the comforting choice to stay

About this poem

My grandmother recently passed away from this earth on August 15th, 2022. I loved her more than words can write. She had such a passion for poetry and I would love to follow in a wise woman's footsteps.
