Reflection

Oh my dear
Hasn't it been so long?
Long enough since we parted ways,
Hoping to find peace for some days!

But look what time has wrought,
Blessings of togetherness turned into drought.

When did we run so out of love?
Times spent together, now worn with a glove!

Let the bleakness not be lasting;
'Tis time to abandon the wounds we've been casting.

Do you remember the days home was fun?
The gaiety, the laughter, the puns that we spun.

Growing up estranged us
'How to act' prearranged thus.

In the guile of maturity
We lost the kiddish purity.

Shan't be long that we go back to fables,
Takes a lil effort that we turn the tables!

If I extend a hand, will you take it?
I'm befriending a brat, can we make it?
