Rain

The Rain 2009 (Benue State)

Once it was sunny on a Monday morning
Untill the clouds decided to perform a ritual the earth loved so much
They would all come together
To give the earth a lovely weather
The clouds make her to dance around
The earth loves his ritual called 'Rain'
While she is happy dancing around
Some of her children cry to the heavens to make it stop
They say  the weather troubles their plans for that day
The animals rejoice and thank the heavens for the blessing
The cars swims and baths in the rain
The bikes run for shelter
While some swears under their breath
The child run into their house and stop the fun
To enjoy he view of the dancing drops
The Rain is a beautiful thing
But it just drenches everything
Those who move on foot get drenched by the splash of life
The bikes stay under shelter to watch the wonder
No can deny, the Rain is a beautiful thing
The animals rejoice
The plants move with the music he clouds play
While the Earth's favourite
Sits down and listen to the e ruffling sound of the dancing drops on the roof tops
Once it was all sunny
But now it is rainy
Lovely it is
Lovely is the Rain
