Long Time Coming

Hey some call me jaded.
But friendship
Comes at a 2 way street.
You feel that I let some things slip.
But that has never been me.
I talk to none.
While you sought people who only use those the secrets to gain something they may never have found.
If it hadn't been for you.
They may have never chose me to be the person as their stepping stone.
For years I thought of them as friends, but in reality they were only there to show me, as a prop, in their rise to the top.
I was a fool to think that the words they spoke was how they really felt.
At times I believed and agreed.
But now I see it was all a rouse.
A trick played on me, to get me to play along and admit my life style.
While you all stood behind and laughed and pointed at someone who really thought we were all friends.
I realized the game when I called y'all out and tried to hurt y'all with the end stick of a game that I believed we all shared.
But that night was just to come at me after beating a couple people that you all thought was above me.
Don't get me wrong, after that night.
I was through.
I stood up for myself, finally!
And I would have hurt y'all, differently then the way you all did me.
But my family and real friends stopped me.
If they hadn't, only God knows where I'd be.
I dislike you all, but I thank you also.
I never would have accepted myself without your negativity.
You made me see that I'm only strong when I accept me, for me.
I hold grudges and maybe one day I'll forgive.
But in hindsight you all were never helping me come out.
You just saw a person lost and took advantage of their pain.
Sometimes I wish the same for all of you.
But It wouldn't change a thing.
So, I hold no grudge.
I'm letting it all go.
I hope you accept more easily
Cause chances are your children might be going through the same thing, the same pain you inflicted on me.
For their sakes, I hope you have learned
to keep it to yourself.
And if your child is like me, I hope instead of judging them, you listen and realize what they are feeling and experiencing is what I did, while you all thought it cool to hurt someone, who never did a thing to you.
Wish y'all the best.

About this poem

Letting those people who used my secret to hurt me know that I overcame the pain they caused. That I hold no grudge and I wish them the best.
