Life

Life.
Life is so short. We know it yet do nothing at all.

We are here stressing over little things, fighting over nonsense while our life flashes before our eyes, and without knowing it, it’s all over, and then we realize we wasted our time.

We are so fixated on politics, rights, and our own selfish needs that we don’t stop to see those that are actually in need.

We focus our everyday energy on this nine-to-five slavery we call our jobs because no one taught us better, but did we stop to look further to find out what we really love?

We complain about everything, and everyone not knowing the reasons, not knowing the circumstance, we want our way even if that means taking others along the way.

We talk about “love,” talk about “honesty,” talk about “what we deserve,” yet we don’t know how to set an example of our own.

This world is so corrupt that a mother can murder her own child and say it was for love.
This world is so messed up that a child can stab his best friend just for a piece of cake.
This world is so upside down that black and whites can’t get along, STILL, on this date, this century that’s supposed to be so advanced, with so much knowledge, science, and creativeness, and yet, we can’t see each other through the same lens.

We live in a world where instead of acting, we stand as part of a crowd who are too scared to speak up for themselves.

We stand as part of a crowd who follows the wrong because it’s easier than to fight for the right.

We stand as part of a crowd that supports baseless ideas because it’s better to have something than nothing.

Shame on us. Shame on this world and the things we’ve allowed to happen.

Life is so short, and all we seek is happiness, but how?
Life is so short, yet all we do is sit and watch.
Life is so short. We know it yet do nothing at all.
