I was there

I was there
I was there when they dragged her through the thorn bush
With tears running down her face
Fearing for her life
She screamed for help
To thy who do not control life

Standing there with my mouth pasted with a black tape,my hands behind my back like a criminal
My feet chained
Waiting for my turn to be tortured

I was there watching in horror
As they undress her with their eyes filled with hunger
Five greedy men ready to penetrate a child barely 15
She stopped screaming and kicking and gave herself into their hands
One by one they took turns
Enjoying themselves and crowning themselves with a life of a poor child

They turned to me with their red eyes and,
Instantly I knew it was my turn
I had to question where is God
I turned to my left to see the little girl
She gasped for air and noted her head
And that was her last breath

I slowly closed my eyes and waited
Waited for my death

I was there

I'm not a talker I let my mind run wild With a pen and a paper I can paint down all my life and imaginations Because I was inspired speaking with poetry more…
