First day of Forever

Sonya M Henry 1962 (Maryland)

You start this journey as the best of friends,
who want to be with each other forever.
It's up to the two of you, how this journey ends,
and whether or not you'll still be together.
You two have learned to compromise & communicate as best you can.
and that alone can be challenging, for any woman or man.
You've made him a priority in your life, as he has made you in his.
You've decided to make it official, and that's what marriage is.
Always be honest with each other, understanding is key.
You're only human, and are not perfect, nor were you meant to be.
God wants us all to be happy, and find that special one.
and apparently, (insert names here) that's what the two of you have done.
By uniting as one, you vow to share love, fears and even pain.
You have a lot to lose, but so much more to gain.
Trust in each other, protect each other and always be true.
No matter what, no matter where, may God watch over you two.
