Fairy Tales

"Once upon a time"
It always starts like that,
"And they lived happily ever after"
It always ends like that.

A cruel sibling but a true friend,
A fairy godmother to help them,
A life where there's no end,
And a prince, charming like a gem.

Nothing like that, is true.
Kept waiting for 20 years,
But my fairy godmother left me no clue
And my prince charming left me in tears.

The real world is much cruel,
Full of lies and betrayals,
With no dwarf to make you cheer,
And no one to make you livelier.
