Broken bell

The broken bell.

Like a gorge it shirk to chime
Voiced but voiceless, deprived of valour
Gong we thought, grave it turned.
The broken bell.

Once acclaimed glory lost.
Pierced the thickest dermis but now dull
What an echoing voice of dol.
The broken bell.

     Broken spirit
          Broken promise
               Broken bone
                    Broken bell.

Tattered, the hope of valiant heroes
Once rich soil devoid of hoes and sows.
Empty rows, Wallows and low.
The broken bell.

The filthy palace devoid of beads and beats
No glory worth praise in the work of deeds
Black sun our ee but sees.
The broken bell.

     Broken spirit
          Broken promise
               Broken bone
                    Broken bell.

Your hope to glow, tied with rope at low
Memorable memories of your merry is but mourn
Soundless: voiceless, songless: echoless.
The broken bell.

Pack the rupture and mend your scratches
Tie your belt and lace your shoe
No angel is coming in save to safe.
The broken bell.

     Broken spirit
          Broken promise
               Broken bone
                    Broken bell.
