A Destiny Of Tears The Cherokee

A Destiny of Tears The Cherokee
      Something intrinsic inside of me
Still to this day sees the need to be free
Speaks out across the Mountains travels across the sea
As I look into the sunset with its gilded shaded hue
Thoughts stream in out  of the faded blue.
Of trying so hard to keep up the pace.
They help me drift to another time and place.
With a silent moment and unshed tear.

A trail across the Country of hardships tears and pain,
Time and generation can’t erase the strain
Wind and rain and snow stained faces from the tears,
Pushing on and on through object pain and fears
With memories of our homeland which we’ll never let grow dim,
Pensive thoughts keep streaming in, how future generations will learn to fight no more,
And how soon this will change with an end to bloodshed causing war.
Harmony with Nature will prevail throughout the land.
Then and only then
Unjust conduct will forever cease to stand
So even though I am across the mountains and way across the sea, each will no my connection to this beautiful land.
