My Love

The sun shines in the window and across the bed,
Lovers clinging to each other redeeming loves pledge.
I gently kiss your neck as I caress your shoulders too,
Brushing your hair away as I whisper softly just to you.

My sweet and precious love, you are my heart,
You beat within my breast making me all that I am.
You are the best of me, you make me better,
You empower my soul, and I never want that to end.

You turn, smile, our lips meet and there is magic,
With that kiss I feel your passion, your burning love.
You tell me you will always love me like no other,
And I take your face in my hands and kiss you deeply.

As we lie in bed my body encircling yours,
Kissing you and pledging eternal and everlasting love.
There is a sound in the distance growing louder,
As I awake you are gone and I begin to panic.

As I turn on the light and wildly search the room,
I so sadly realize I am no longer holding you.
I sit in bed trying to focus I rub at my eyes,
But it’s not the sleep I am rubbing away it’s the tears.
