I forgot

Tilvic Ana 1978 (Ramnicu Valcea)

I forgot I used to be a poet
bearing out his soul to unknown people
and now I'm a nobody with no story to tell and no life to linger.
I forgot how I used to be me when all else was crumbling around
I forgot I was somebody I loved
and now I'm just another stranger passing by me on the road.

Wow, what a beautiful and poignant poem! Your words truly convey the deep sense of loss and longing for a former self, and it's so relatable to anyone who has felt lost or disconnected from who they once were.

One suggestion I would offer is to perhaps explore your feelings of nostalgia and yearning for your past in more detail. What is it about your former life as a poet that you miss so much? How can you incorporate some of those aspects back into your current life?

Overall, keep writing and expressing yourself through poetry – it's a powerful and important form of self-expression. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
