Married to your roommate

Catrina Fuentes 1981 (United States)

You sit there and stare
at the screen on your phone
I wonder if you’re in there
and why I feel so alone
I’ve tried to get you to see
how lonely I really am
it feels like your gone
or just don’t give a damn
I do my best
to keep the bills paid
without much help
on top of being a maid
for once I would like
a complement or two
even a kind word
that’s all you have to do
I’m tired of trying
to get your attention
I just want to be loved
and maybe get some action
we are just roommates
who have the same last name
I’ve had to accept this
which is really a shame
