I sounded good last night
Somehow, I turned that into a lame compliment
The word “good”
Could’ve been “great” or “really good”
Ha ha oh well I know my confidence fluttered a bit depending on the song
When was the last time you were rejected? (a question for you know who)
But I wasn’t rejected just accepted
The desire for the compliment to boost ego, a musician’s crutch
Sometimes too much
Other times nothing
A balancing act
Non-reliance is best to keep your mind intact
