Midas

Kellen Anderson 2005 (South Dakota)

I lean't to kiss your knuckles bare
Your hand ripp'd from me quite aware
"I'll turn you gold if you dare,
touch me on my left hand there."

I simply laughed and shrugged it off
"You worry so, and doubt enough"
I controlled my atoms very well
for alchemy was an ancient spell

Turn me to gold, he did naught
other riches of my heart he had wraught
there was no need to turn me else
for I had control of myself
