Fall's Laughter

When Summer dies down and the cold sets in,
I know it will be time for the fun to begin.

The reds and yellows of the morning air,
Meaning that I have to adorn sweater wear.

The leaves that are turning, turning passion,
Which means that people are making the season fashion.

The cold that nips at my fingers and toes,
Is about as far as the cold goes, and goes.

The Fall’s embrace is one that I crave,
But when it lets go, it gives me a wave.

The sweet scent of an apple floods me,
So I decide to bask in the scent and just be.

The pumpkin carvings are on full display,
And I think that’s how I’ll spend the day.

As the warm days begin to fade, I smile,
I always did like Fall better, but I like Summer all the while.

As I walk through the bittersweet wind of fall,
I see Chrysanthemums, so big and so small.

When the Falls cold hands begin to freeze,
I will laugh within the Falls last breeze.
