Untitled

Anna S Marquez 1983 (Chicago, IL)

The vows we made began to fade and now they are over.
I hope you're happy in the bed you made because now our love is labeled with an expiration date.

The family and the home we made never can be recovered.
I spent so many days under our bedroom cover.
Never did I ever think I would be able to recover.

The bad memories outweigh the good.
Betray me, I never thought you would.
Finding the strength to move on, I never thought I could.

I met someone new and he is my world.
He made a promise to me and the kids for a fresh new start.
In the beginning I thought it would be so hard.
However I eventually let down my guard.

A life of Love Is All I know know.
Now my family continues to grow.
I now love life and can go with the flow.
You wouldn't notice me now do you see my glow?

The day I let you go I was able to grow.
My fiance now is responsible for my glow.
Our love is real and not for show.
The baggage from my past I no longer have to tow.
