Pour Out Your Heart

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Empty your pockets so you won’t be looking
For something you need as the whole world is cooking

You brought nothing with you; you’ll take nothing out
So, what are these things that you worry about?

Your money won’t save you, your car or your bike
Your house on the earth or the things that you like

The whole world’s on fire; it’s rapidly burning
But your heart is the thing you need to be turning

The love that you have for the Savior; His Word
Are all of the things that you need to have heard

You’re looking for Love; I don’t want to miss you
So, focus on things that you can take with you!

My Word shall endure forever!
