Invisible Cloak

I have a secret, silent space that I love to escape to
After getting lost in the woods, I imagine what I would do
If I were the red tailed hawk flying high to get a birds-eye view
Then back to the nest to deliver the babies their food

I sometimes disappear into the garden as it mirrors Eden
Engulfed in a botanical utopia, I'm simply breathing
Inhaling so deeply and so slowly until it stops even
Time passes, I exhale. 'Let me out' my soul was screaming

I close my eyes and become the wind that turns to water
Splashing the trunk of the tree, I'm chasing a squirrel harder
I'm the koi fish, snapping turtle, and butterfly in the garden
The elder eight mile walker, or on the shoulders of my father

Been a long day, now I'm ten steps behind four years old me
No recess for my babysitter, a twelve years old Pete
Even keel face, meaning all business, spiritual master's degree
The trance ends with, "Get started on the Rose", message from Pete
