The Art Of Poetry

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

The art of poetry,
Has been stated to be connected...
To songs and verses.
Created by the Chinese.
Between the 11th and 7th centuries B.C.
Long before the Greeks,
Were given the credit for introducing...
Various methods,
Of mathematics usage.
And different languages to speak them.
To update and replace,
Facts to eliminate.

No other times like these,
Can people be made to believe...
A duck with webbed feet and quacks.
Is not a duck but an owl.
To have fallen from a tree.
And has had its identity.
Successfully erased from memory.

Yet today no one really knows,
How poetry became an expression...
For those to interpret,
As a form to delete its basic simplicity.
To become for everyone,
Used in the most complicated ways.
By those who insist that poetry written,
Should not offend those seeking to pretend...
Poetic verse to compose,
Only describes the times...
These days we now live.
Although...
Is not an acceptable way,
To mention with it poetically written.

Especially...
If it should be about politicians.
Religious beliefs and deceivers who lie.
Or ongoing racism.
By those corrupting behind the scenes,
Everything today to have had meaning.
With a destroying intentionally...
The integrity and credibility of those known,
To be innocent of these misdeeds.

And yet left,
Are exceptions to omit from scrutiny.

Nowhere has a book been banned,
Written by Shakespeare.
Who dramatically demeaned,
With a purpose to expose...
Those socially elite and politicians.
Known to be socialites long ago.
Shakespeare also wrote about,
The discreet travesties...
Of pretentious incestuous family members.
With men dressed to impress,
In women's clothes to permit...
The addressing of his contempt meant.
For 'socialism' and its exclusiveness.

No one yet has said to mention anything.
About those written books to fabricate,
By imaginative Europeans.
Arriving on lands to have claimed discovered.
Or...
The erasing of truth that slave owners,
Were themselves of all races.
And in some places where denial exists,
To celebrated the dismissing...
The truth for what it is.
For the purpose to benefit,
Perceptions to deceive.
Yet to keep division kept as a way of life!
To fiction which race,
Endured a suffering continued day and night.

Still!

This truth and reality is all there.
Smothered underneath,
Delusions meant and kept to keep.
Found to become censored everywhere!
And why?
Fiction to sell it,
Does well these days in the marketplace.

And this is all about,
The Money.
This...
Is all about,
Money!
This...
Is all about THE MONEY.
And...
Who intends to steal it all.
Kept...
To deceive us all.
As long as the doing of it,
Remains to entertain!
