And What is Life But Energy Unlimited?

Karl Constantine FOLKES 1935 (Portland)

The sine qua non.
Energy unlimited.
Ever evolving.
No beginning or ending.
The mystery of life itself.

About this poem

For Homo Sapiens thinking man (Cf. Seventeenth Century existentialist philosopher Rene Descartes’ 1637 anthropic ‘First Principle’ declaration of “Cogito ergo sum”), the physics of what life is remains a metaphysical mystery; the mystery of mysteries; of the conservation of energy in all of its forms and in all of its manifestations; of life ever changing, ever evolving, with no apparent ‘absolute beginning’ and with no apparent ‘absolute ending.’ Life on earth, as we discern it in its broadest sense, a life that displays an uncanny symmetry of the universe and of all the galaxies, is an eternal showering cascade of energy in the form of basking sunlight ever blazing on humanity.
