Senselessness These Days Defended

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

There is a culture of senselessness.
Endorsed to support,
These days kept defended.

When even the ones,
Unaccustomed to using...
Their own God given common sense.
Begin to awaken and question,
Decisions of those adorned and sitting,
Behind a high bench.
To administer a judgement.
In a robe to play the role of justice maker.
Even the ones unaccustomed to using,
Common sense.
Stop!
In the name of thoughts to think it over.

One suspected of performing,
Criminal activities with intentions meant...
To corrupt all laws and rules of justice.
Revealing not only evidence produced.
But also bold enough to confess,
A doing of it.
To then declare ownership collected,
Of secret documents not to be theirs.

Another arrested,
For deceiving the very people...
Making contributions,
To build fences and walls to install.
And protect themselves against...
Immigrants undocumented.
From entering a country.
Where the righteous of those most righteous.
Live to prevent,
More nonsense of permitted lawlessness.
Yet...
Discovered to pocket the money.
But still insists to have it convinced,
Of being innocent regardless of evidence.

And these investigations,
Conducted by everyone.
Including reluctant flies on walls,
Brought in to appear...
In courts to be interrogated.
As to what they heard or saw to see.
Leaving the culprits,
Betraying to treason a democracy.
With a giving them time to defend,
The possibility of ruining...
Not only their prestigious reputations.
But also the pretentiousness,
That obtained their credibility to deceive.

There is a culture of senselessness.
Endorsed to support,
A sense to make.
Leaving even those unaccustomed,
To using their own common sense.
Now have begun to awaken to realize,
A doing done to their way of life...
Is an inside job.

Although...
Continuing to disbelieve,
Are the many still volunteering themselves...
To be duped, hoodwinked and victimized.
With opened wide lieing eyes.
Disputing the evidence and proof of truth!
