Unrequited was our love

Angela Judith Van wyk 2004 (Polokwane)

Your bed told could retell our Love story...
Not one that's intimate
But
One that's innocently good
The walls in your room
Know secrets that no one
Beside us should
My scent roams around
Your room trying to find me
But I'm not there...
Your socks lay in my wardrobe
Begging me to put them on
So that they can remind me
What love we had...
My photo still in your trousers
For you said
"I wanna see your face everyday even if you far"
With this said I swore to never forget
"I will love you forever for eternity "
Was my message to you
For I had love you
Untill my fragile heart
Could not get over you
It was not timing
Nor was it you or I
But us
Timing had always been perfect and ready
But we were not ready for us
We met at the right time and age
But neither of us were
At the right maturity
Vindictive was I
Callous you were
For I had childhood trauma
and you were dealing with trauma
For I had daddy issues
And you could not even relate
Betrayal was something you had know long
And expected alot
But I,I showed you that I'd not betray you
A toxic liar's words were it
I had betrayed you
But not the way you did me
You had cheated
And I had given up
Unrequited was our love
