Unknitted Fantasies

Nihal Ibrahim 2005 (Kerala)

''Rest In Peace '' drowned my ears
Mishmash flowers decorated tomb
Jogging partner still in her tears
My hands raised to pat but numb

Me called them all no reply
Dogs and cows scolded me continuous
Fog surrounded me completely
Tried to avoid it but still numerous

Death’s smell firstly I smelled
In hot water rotted overcooked cat
But that smell still me comforted
Judging situations i realised that

I am dead and i saw them
The wandering spirits enjoying
Not like having sorrow me i joined them
Cold hands of death is melting

Sweet bloods gave to my empty vines
Vampires raised between us
This all written by utopians merely
Now they don’t know how muster us
In their enclosed chapters
