The Almost Man

Aruna Pandey 1959 (Hazaribagh)

August 22

The Almost Man

Have you seen an almost man,
Who wears: a royal blue and brand new cap?
He’s come from where: we do not know.

He’ll surely tell us when it’s time,
Right now he’s busy ever so,
With cleaning, blowing through
The dusty, awful, crowded streets,
Setting right for Aberdeen—
Or so—he almost told me so!!!!!

About this poem

This is an attempt to combine the regular with the irregular … personification with a slight twist. Out of the box but with good intrinsic logic.
