Scars

She was told to be quiet
Quiet about her scars
Insecurities and hardships
They said to be patient
Time will change
But still things didn't change
They remain the same
The pain remain
The insecurities remain
The emptiness remains

About this poem

This is a poem that explores the feeling of numbness and emptiness. People say time will heal things but for some , their scars and traumas still haunt them and no matter how much they try, they can't get out of this huge cycle of grief and sadness.
