Rain

The wind starts to blow
Within seconds the rain starts to pour
Everyone around me seeks shelter
but I stay

Soon it is just me, the howling wind and the rain
I look around
It is a dark gloomy day
But peaking through the clouds,
Is the bright radiant sun

I smile
I walk along the roaring waves
The sand is soft and smooth
I am ignorant to time

The sun starts to set
tinting the clouds vibrant colours
Red
Orange
Yellow
The rain still continues

It is a beautiful thing
rain
A beautiful thing

This poem stood out to me due to its connotations. It is very enjoyable to stand in the rain but it's also a symbol of not fearing standing out, and being different..
