India@75

INDIA @75
Why after 75 years of independence too we are bound by money and muscle power
but not able to appreciate our own Indian mettle?
Why after 75 years of independence all we can distribute is a frail cloth of three colours( tiranga)
but not ingrain in our children the strong values behind them?
Why after 75 years of independence too we have only buildings of governance
but no statesmen and leaders of good governance?
Why after 75 years of independence we still are merely making speeches of  including the excluded
but in reality there is distrust and fear?
Why after 75 years our education system is not a reward of those who burn the midnight lamps,
but is a handmaid of those who can burn money and buy the degrees?
Why after 75 years we have edifices of degree providers
but very few providers of quality education?
Why after 75 years celebration is all about posing  a selfie with the tri- colour flag,
but actually will be happy to sell our soul to  flag of stripes and stars?
Why after 75 years of independence we are  celebrating the amrit of what the past had brought
but what about the toxics that we are carrying to the future.
The youth of India’s future is to be the the colours of Tiranga
Or the next 25 years will be only bigger selfies with lifeless flags
