Do we deserve this independence?

Do we really deserve this independence?
Well the answer could be yes/no
But the explanation cannot be just in few words!
Are we worthy of this boon?
Or the ones who died for this freedom with swords
Honestly, the people who lost their lives in this struggle
Must have only imagined the free India in their dreams!
Some still tirelessly strive for the basic human rights
While some enjoy power as like it's an ice-cream
Are our ancestors proud?
Who chose death over slavery?
Smiled even at their last times...
Devoted their lives to the nation
And became immortal in the story of bravery!
Just take a second to think
When they see the youth of India
Burning the India itself for the sake of protest?
Watching them insult their own heritage
Just for the sake of common sense
Is the freedom equally granted?
Where gender sensitisation is just a mere buzz word
Where your caste matters more than you score for an admission
Where media is used to provoke riots, and not the true journalism
Where the real life heroes live anonymity
Many questions...
