Alone

Isolated, you entered into my private space,
Magically vanished and left me all alone.
Without a trace, no evidence down to bone,
I feel so lost without you within my place.
I am still hungover by seeing your face,
I want the original you, not any other clone.
The world tunes to silence, a lonely tone.
Can't keep up with your ghost, I lost pace.

Too good at goodbyes, it abates the pain,
Back to being single, I need to maintain,
The broken heart savagely broken down.
Crickets chirping in the air, not a strain,
Luckily, I have droubted out my tear-y rain,
Lonely at the top at the temple of my crown

About this poem

This is a melancholic poem based on my bad dating experiences. It was inspired by how I have been stood up on many dates by women throughout my teenage years. I ultimately had enough and I was just numb to that pain and got used to the fact that I will not find a significant other anytime soon.
