a soldier of the earth.

Shruti godla 2002 (New Delhi)

To have witnessed the blood of many,
Screams and veils, unfolding tyranny,
Thy shall weep and rot in hell of fire,
To underfoot the voice of sweet Desire.
And even aurora whimpers, the goddess of words,
To see such clashing of swords.
All the gods today will beg for mercy,
For the love they crafted will fall to dearth,
The heaven, the hell, of all on earth,
Shall tuck beneath the measures of girth.
And yet here I stand, to follow and vanquish,
The fervour you once endured,
Shall I shun the crown of temptation you wear,
Your destiny and command my so dear people that fear,
To mug your ego into a broken glass,
And bleed to death in peace at last.

About this poem

Well, this poem is an outline of how a soldier feels. Of all the war-zones he Has won over , all the scare he has endured and his intense feelings towards his opponent, to win no matter what, and to die not in the skin of a grim and tired tenant but in the skin of a soldier.
