A girl who had far too much heart

The once was a girl who had far too much heart
Almost every little thing that happened nearly tore her apart
She was simply just extremely emotional all the time,
Whoever said that being oversensitive is a crime?

She always tried so incredibly hard,
yet she was left feeling very much scarred,
as sadly not everyone understood,
Some were merely unable to see her true good.

This pained her very much, how could this be so bad?
It even made her feel kind of mad and of course very sad,
She always likes to express her innermost feeling,
She is after all a human being.

What can be done when a person has so much heart?
Perhaps make this clear right from the start,
Try not to be afraid of letting it all out,
Even when you have a lot of doubt.

It is safe to say that she is not alone in having so much heart,
Perhaps it could help if she could speak with a counterpart?
Once she knows that she is not alone,
then maybe she would be able to come out of her own comfort zone.

It is important to simply be you, let yourself go,
But trying to hold back is very difficult, that I know.
