A New Sunrise

A New Sunrise

I walk outside to a new beginning
My eyes are open I can see again
To the world around me
With every breath, I take it in
Filled with wonder and awe
At this beautiful creation
Our Savior, Our loving Redeemer
Gave to us All!

The Kingdome of Heaven
Smiles down upon me
As the sunlight breaks through
The majestic white clouds above
I can almost feel them
I can almost touch them
Way up there beyond measure
I sense Angels praising and singing
His Almighty Name
Glory be to God my King!

Rain drops gently touch the earth
With every drop life begins
Plants growing birds flying
Rainbows making a path
Back to Him
The world has been cleansed
Washed away made new
I am cleansed
For in Him I am whole
The darkness fades away
My mind full of light
I feel His love
I feel His embrace
Holding me telling me
Child wake up and Rise
It's a New Day it's a New Sunrise!

About this poem

I wrote this poem after receiving an answer to prayer. I recently went through a traumatic event and one day I was really struggling. I prayed for help and God answered me back through a little miracle. After receiving an answer to prayer, I was filled with joy. I wanted to give thanks to God for His helping hands. These words flooded my mind.

I liked this very much. I read through lots if poems on this site. So, I try not to pre-judge a poem..or to give up on it early on. Most of the faith-based or praise poems I have read are not very good. Not because they are religious, but they didn't "catch my ear".
This has a good flow to it and elicits feeling. At least for me.
    Keep it up...
