Butterfly Wings and Hurricanes

Parts of me scatter
like raindrops and dried leaves
delivering the pieces to parts unknown
visionary winds that re-energise a stagnant pond
simultaneously, scattering and re-emerging
altered but united

I noticed that with this particular poem you didn’t write in the ‘About this poem’ section. Do you mind my asking what influenced this particular work, where the idea came from? It’s a lovely piece.
