Why Now?

I forgot to hold your hand today,
Or maybe it was that I no longer felt the need to do so. I no longer felt that urge to run to you,
And kiss you as you walked thru the door.
Could it be that I finally stoped loving you?
Why Now? After all these years of hardships and loss, of lies and distrust , of simply drifting apart; away from what we once were.
Why Now?
I asked myself that question. Maybe because I finally found my voice, or found myself. Maybe because after all these years of empty promises I finally have the nerve to say the truth,
That I no longer love you.
